Describe a professional skill you have developed in your most recent job. By applying my extraverted personality and counselling skills too identify the student’s verbal and non-verbal signals by observing the body language(facial expression, nervous twitches and tone of voice)understand the cultural defences. I learned how to deal with students and no-students by listening to their concerns, talking to them and not at them.
Describe a situation in which you've applied your skills to solve a problem. Since there are two most common problems: 1) The school put them in a class that is either too difficult or easy for them or the 2) The teacher has no time to allow them to talk in class. Would rely on my analytical skills as a teacher identifies if the student actually belongs in the class. Secondly use my counselling skills to notice any emotional problems, which in most cases drastically impedes learning. I would have a talk them as soon as possible to see what can be done to resolve the problem before they affect the rest of the class.
Describe the job you have held in the past that was most gratifying. I got the most satifaction from the fact that after taking my lessons my students progressed to the point of speaking English in public..
Describe your ability to solve problems in the workplace. First of all I would find out what the problem is. If it were with another person on the staff, I would have a meeting to bring them together and find out what the problem is. If it were related to personal problems at home, I would take them out to a relaxing place to talk to them.
Describe your previous job experience. Discribing situations, correcting their mistakes, creating programs and using real life situations so that they could experience, visualize ensuring stronger and longer intealizing .
How can you help our company be more profitable? I can find out what program is the best for the student, by doing this the company will not waste the student¡¯s and company¡¯s money time and resources igoing in the wrong direction.
How would you rate your communication skills? Over the years I have quite painstakingly endeavoured to acquire and extensively use a vast repartee of words ranging from the academic, political to the common street vernacular. Which I use to not express myself verbally but also to facilitate public interaction by being well read about a vast number of issues and topics.
Tell me how you would handle multiple projects in the job. I would take the problem which when solved usually makes solving the others easier. If the problem is too big then I would ask for help or network.
What aspects of your job do you consider most crucial? By far what I found to the most difficult part of teaching English is getting the student to open up, like what they are doing and get some well deserved encouragement that they are not just a source of income. Show them that as a teacher I really care about increasing their English level.
What did you like most about your last job? The most rewarding accomplishment that I got was derived of from watching my student’s use the English in public with far more confidence and pride without fear of making a mistake.
What do you do for fun? I like going for coffee, eating and drinking or just a walk with my close friends. Going on the internet to listen to music while reading the news from Japan - keeping up with what is going on in the country.
What do you like to do when you are not at work? Going shopping, video arcade, having coffee or a bottle of coke, eating bento lunch with a friend, surfing the internet, talking with friends.
.
What is your favorite TV program? I lke to watch comedies (Sitcoms), Simpsons, Mash, some action, romance adventure, historic, scientific docunentries.
Why did you leave your last job? Lost my Work Visa due to insufficient work to keep me on staff. It was a small privately owned school in Japan.
